Morphing

I’ve always had a soft spot for the horror and thriller genre—the kind of stories where shadows stretch longer than they should, where strange sounds echo in the dark, and where the line between fear and fascination blurs.

I know it’s not for everyone. Some shy away from the grotesque and the macabre. But there’s something oddly exhilarating about the rush of adrenaline, the tension that coils in your gut, the sense that something is coming—and you can’t look away.

Usually, with horror comes the expected: grotesque monsters, unsettling creatures, things that slither and morph into nightmares you can’t quite shake off.

But this piece takes a different path.

I wanted to play with contrast—to create a creature that could be morphing into something monstrous… yet maybe, just maybe, it’s transforming into something unexpectedly adorable. There’s beauty in ambiguity, and magic in the unknown. Who says the eerie can’t also be enchanting?
