Hello, I’m the illustrator behind ChedieDesigns, a dreamer who adores gardens but, regrettably, cannot seem to keep them alive. Plants, it seems, have conspired against me, wilting under my care despite my best intentions.
Perhaps the universe finds amusement in contrasts. The first novel I ever cherished, The Secret Garden, kindled a longing in me—to one day be rich enough to own a hidden sanctuary of lush greenery, much like Mary’s. But fate, ever mischievous, had other plans.
And so, I cultivate my gardens on paper, where blooms never fade, and leaves never brown. This particular piece features an abstract floral pattern, where stylized flowers unfold across a geometric background divided into striking sections of color and form. The interplay of organic shapes and structured lines creates a visual harmony—a dreamscape of gardens I could never quite grow, yet here, they thrive.
