From the Artist:

Many of us, when gifted flowers, instinctively wish to preserve them—to hold on to their beauty just a little longer. But I once heard a florist say in a video:

“Flowers are not supposed to last. Their job is to help us stay in the present.”

Their fleeting nature teaches us to cherish the now, to collect moments like petals pressed between the pages of our memories. Because life is not all roses. Storms will come. And when they do, it is those moments of warmth and beauty that will help guide us through the darkness, reminding us that light always follows the rain.

At the time of creating this illustration, I feel overwhelmed, anxious, frustrated. My mind is a blur, my body exhausted. My faith, fragile. My hope, barely existent. And yet—I hold on. Because when everything feels lost, the only way forward is up. And so, like grasping onto a wreath of flowers, I cling to the memories that remind me there is still beauty, still light waiting beyond the storm.

This illustration embodies that sentiment—a beautifully intricate floral abstract design where vibrant flowers, delicate leaves, and geometric patterns weave together in harmony. Just as nature and artistry blend in this composition, so too does sorrow and hope, darkness and light, endings and new beginnings.

Perhaps flowers are not meant to last. But their beauty, much like our memories, can still linger—waiting to remind us that we have made it through before, and we will make it through again.
